International Year of Planet Earth (UN initiative) with three categories
to base work on:

EARTH:
landscapes (mountains, desert, forest, etc), vegetation
- WATER:
oceans, sea-life, river, rain,etc.

CIVILIZATION:
buildings, towns/cities, transport, factories, pollution
- End result: two
beautiful textile panels each displaying 25 individual hand-stitched
and embellished squares on one of the above categories.
