Downe Manor Primary School, Northholt (2)

• Three mosaic panels (approx. 100 cm x 30 cm) with children’s clay faces displayed for each of the three classroom pod entrances
• Worked with groups of eight children from the previous project, each child making a face in clay
• On each board we made the year group numbers and side borders in matching coloured glass mosaic tiles then for the background we embedded thousands of pieces of multi-coloured glass ‘smalti’ into the cement adhesive
• The multi-coloured background was very effective and showed off the unglazed buff coloured clay faces well
